Our Church

Mountain View Lutheran Church is located in Apache Junction, Arizona on the eastern edge of the Valley of the Sun and at the foot of the Superstition Mountains.

We have been described as a 3-part congregation.  Some of us live here year-round.  Others join us in the Fall of the year.  Still more join us for the Winter months of January thru March.

Our congregation is mission-minded and cooperates with other area congregations in outreach to expanding communities of the East Valley.

For more information about us, see the church website at mvlcaj.org.

Why a Scholarship Fund?

Recognizing several needs and objectives, MVLC established a Scholarship Fund in 2013.  The Fund is designed to assist Lutheran students attending Lutheran Colleges as they prepare for full time church work.

The Fund was established in recognition of several needs:

  • a growing need for full time church workers including pastors, teachers and other ministry positions;
  • the financial burden on students preparing for church work;
  • the fulfillment of our church’s mission to reach community and world;
  • the need to encourage potential church workers with scholarship support.

The Scholarship Fund is open to members of MVLC, relatives of members living in other locations, and other candidates living in the Greater Phoenix area.  Application procedures are outlined here.
